Sweet & Savory Onion Glaze Cornbread Stuffing

So many meals can be better by serving stuffing alongside the main course. Why wait for a holiday or special occasion to enjoy this hearty treat?

Prep Time:  20 minutes
Bake Time:  30-45 minutes

½ cup Fischer & Wieser Sweet & Savory Onion Glaze
3 eggs, well beaten
6 cups baked cornbread, roughly cubed into medium to large pieces
1 onion, yellow or white, finely chopped
4 celery stalks, washed and finely chopped
6-8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
½-1 teaspoon salt, to taste
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix Fischer & Wieser Sweet & Savory Onion Glaze and eggs together in large mixing bowl and whisk briskly. Add remainder of ingredients to bowl and toss together to mix well. (The cornbread will break into smaller pieces, don’t worry. This makes the final result better.) Place the mixture into a 9”x13”x2” glass casserole which has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Place in oven and bake for 30-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Serves 6

Obviously this is a basic recipe, there are many additions/changes you can make to dress up this dressing and call it your own. Some might be: add more vegetables like bell peppers, chopped carrots, mushrooms, use sausage instead of bacon, or even add more eggs to increase your moistness–and of course our favorite is use more of the onion glaze.
